Module Description
Digital Content - also known as digital media, comes in many forms:

     -   text

     -  audio and videos files

     -  graphics

     -  animations

     -  images

Typically, digital content refers to information available for download or distribution on electronic media;  the industry

consensus, however, is that digital content is anything that can be published, read, listened to or watched. It is said that

everyone creates digital content - consider the twittersphere, social platform status updates, photos, videos, blog posts,

audio files, games, and ebooks as examples of digital content.  If digital content is considered any piece of information

that is published, that means anyone can be considered a digital content creator.

Free vs. Paid Digital Content
The raging debate refers to whether consumers should pay for digital content or should it be free? If it is provided for

free, can a business still make money from their content? While the debate is most acute in the entertainment and media

industries, digital content has many models offered to both paying and non-paying customers, as well as models that

continue to exist in spite of promoting illegal practices - consider the Pirate Bay file sharing site.

With so many different types of digital content available, the question becomes what is the best delivery models? With

the continued popularity of smartphones, tablets, and eReaders, there are a variety of options to consider when searching

for digital content.
